This house sits a block away from my apartment. I walk by it everyday, and there’s this light that stays on at all hours. It both stands as an invitation and as a deterrent. One day after a tough loss of touch with a close friend, my perspective on this house changed, I was able to see these different colors of the scene in my head.
During emotionally painful periods in my life, I’ve been able to turn to color work to help process what I’m feeling. These represent my consolations in color.
