The silver lining to moving a second time last summer was being surrounded by new material to capture. While a 50mm stays glued to my camera to replicate a natural field of vision, I took the new location as an opportunity to use a different lens, the 35mm. There was a stillness in the air that laid atop the fog that began rolling in with the season. Everything on the street was quiet. Any movement seen or heard was immediately noticed.
Without a preconceived idea, I glanced at this car that someone was rummaging around in. I snapped the shutter as soon as I saw it. The driver opened the door, but didn’t look my way.
