During a heavy spring rain, I rushed up Emigration Canyon with some friends to get closer to the storm. All being from the desert, any precipitation is always cause to do something with your day. It started to dry up as soon as we started driving, but figured the drive was worth it anyways.
Big Mountain Pass is slow to open in the spring due to snow blocking the road, but we got lucky. It was the first day that season where the gate was finally open. Right when we parked at the top, the clouds started to pass and left open a clear view of the valley, lush from the shower it just received. I’m glad I brought my camera with me that day.
