More free time inside allowed the opportunity to reconnect with old forms of entertainment from childhood. My new guilty pleasure was studying design details of 80’s and 90’s sport car design. The aggressive lines and angles mirrored what I enjoyed observing in the world around me, so my goal was to capitalize on both of those aspects with this 2 photo set.
Consuming artistic media spanning multiple decades over the pandemic led me to bring a level of ambiguity to the context of my work. In creating these fictional worlds, I imagine this Porsche 944 to transcend time periods and exist beyond different cultural contexts.
